Delamere Forest Riding Club

The Club was established in 1983 by riders local to Delamere Forest; a wooded area of 972 hectares which lies between Chester and Northwich in the Cheshire Plain. Members now join us from around the region and beyond!

January 2025

Happy New Year to all our Members and friends. Competitions will return with dressage in February 2025.

Dressage Feb 16th, CHANGE OF DATE Entries open Jan 27th. All tests will be the “new” BD 2024 tests.

The Area Intro Dressage & DTM Qualifier at Reaseheath has been rescheduled to February 9th. If you would like to compete for the Club, please contact Elaine Reading. Entries close mid-January.

Renewal of Membership – look out for an email from British Riding Clubs inviting you to renew your Club membership. There are PDFs on the Membership page on how to renew, or how to join DFRC

IMPORTANT Entry Master changes – Members entering events from March onwards will need to input their membership number to receive automatic discounts on entry fees. No more remembering to choose the correct price! For details on how to find your membership number, see the Membership page 🙂 Classes in events will also now be available to choose from a drop down menu. No more remembering to type in the right class!

Dressage points – these are available on the Dressage page and refer to the first Prelim only. Riders who accumulate more than 35 points may continue to compete in the second Open Prelim class. Members please check your eligibility BEFORE you enter each dressage. Thank you

What’s On 2025

**NEW EVENTS ADDED** Check out our ‘What’s on’ page to see dates being added for 2025. There’s also details of social events, and an Area Competitions tab to try and encourage members to join in with DFRC teams. Scroll down the page for more info.

NEW – Dressage

Non-members are now able to enter our monthly Dressage competitions as soon as entries open. Although we are a Senior Members only Club, non-member junior riders are very welcome at our competitions too. From February 2025 all tests will be the “new” 2024 BD tests

We use Entrymaster for our events.

At the moment we are accepting only PayPal payments through Entrymaster.

Due to the current restrictions, we are NOT accepting in-person payments.

We welcome non-members at events, but please check with the event organiser as we give priority to our club members.
