This is a quick introduction to each of the committee members as well as their roles and responsibilities. All of us are here to help you wherever and whenever we can but please remember we are volunteers and a lot of us also work and have horses too! In addition to our email address firstname.lastname@example.org, you will find below other ways to contact us.
I have been Delamere Forest Riding Club’s Chairperson ever since taking over from Mary Bradbury in 2008. I have ridden since I was a child and owned horses all my adult life. I work full time as a hospital based midwife, which involves shifts, but I still have time to enjoy owning and competing myself and to support the club at our many events.
The committee try to introduce ourselves to all new members but if we do not get the chance, please come and say hello at any of the competitions or social events – we are a very friendly club and as I mentioned above would welcome more support in the running of our club.
I have been on the committee for a number of years and look after most things dressage! Through the winter I organise the monthly dressage competitions, secures judges and look after all of the Area 20 dressage teams. Please look at our dressage pages for details on how to enter and our competitions, and hopefully I will see you there - I will be riding my grey mare Pebble!

I have a very varied role in the committee at DFRC! I take the entries for the summer dressage competition's and write the quarterly newsletter for our members. Finally, as I am so creative, I am the current Treasurer and hold the purse strings! I own Conna and love to compete in all events and training.
I have been Secretary to the club for 2 years, having been a member of the club for 20 years (possibly more). I did hold the office of Chairman for 1 year.
I am also currently Secretary to British Riding Clubs Area 20 Liaison committee, these tasks occupy my time in my newly found retirement.
I have been a member of the riding club for 10 years and enjoy riding and competing at dressage both at the club and British Dressage. For DFRC I am responsible for the clear round jumping that is run for everyone to have a practice at. I also look after the Jump Training that is run with Richard Carruthers and the Jumping and Style (JAS). Please contact me for any queries.
I have been a member of DFRC with my daughter Carrier for the last 15 plus years and have enjoyed competing in this friendly, fun club with different horses and in different disciplines. I run the annual One Day Event at Smallwood, which is always a super day and I am also the Area 20 rep, which means that I represent the Delamere members at all of the area meetings. In 2014 I also organised the area qualifier for the Dressage to Music with help from Sue L and Mary.
I joined DFRC in 2012, along with husband Brent, and found it such a friendly club that I was persuaded onto the committee for the 2014/15 season! You will see me at most types of competitions and training, either riding, being groom, or generally helping out.
As I love my eventing my committee duties will include taking the club ODE entries, and I will be Chef d'equipe for the Area Horse Trials team. Looking forward to meeting you all!
I have been a member of DFRC since it’s creation and am a founder member of the committee. I look after a lot of the training that we offer to our members as well as Chef d’equipe for the show jumping team’s. If you have any requests for the future then please get in touch!
You will see me at many of the competitions and training with my pony Billy and usually clutching a large box of rosettes! I look after all of the orders and equipment for the club and often find myself ironing all of the rosettes. I also look after all of the trophies as well as helping at many of the events on the ground.
